Mrs. Helen M. Sausman, 77, of Buffington, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, in Monarch Meadows.
She was born in Uniontown September 15, 1948 to the late Nicholas and Virginia Marian Capan.
Helen married Mr. William H. Sausman. He preceded her in death July 17, 2022.
She worked in several manufacturing facilities through the years.
Helen enjoyed being a wonderful homemaker for over 30 years. She was the mother hen of the family.
She is survived by four siblings: Nicholine Hobby and husband Dan of Columbia, Tenn.; Mark Capan and wife Mary Lou of New Salem; Rob Capan and fiancee Melanie of Uniontown; and Wendy Marshall and husband John of Lorain, Ohio; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Donald Capan, John Capan, Philip Capan, and Mary Ann Ferguson.
Visitation for Helen will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, in the STEPHEN R. HAKY FUNERAL HOME, 603 N. Gallatin Avenue Extension, Uniontown, PA 15401, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 22. Interment in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
