Robert Allen Palonder, 76, of Perryopolis, passed away Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in UPMC East, Monroeville. Born March 12, 1949 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late Richard and Janet McIntyre Palonder.
A lifelong resident of Perryopolis, Mr. Palonder was a hard worker all his life and owned the Inn at Lenora’s and Restaurant for 33 years with his wife, Lenora.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora Uchelvich Palonder, to whom he was married for 56 years; daughter, Heather Palonder and husband Steven Green of Portland, Ore.; son, Owen Palonder and wife Carrie of Fayette City; brother and sister-in-law, Roland and Barbara Palonder; sister, Lou Ann Palonder; and four grandchildren, Sawyer, Emily, Sarah Jane and Forrest.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy and John Palonder.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 24, in the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty Street, Perryopolis, 724-736-2515, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 25, with Pastor Simeon Hatcher of Perryopolis Baptist Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made, in memory of Robert Allen Palonder, to the American Cancer Society.
