Rita Stossel Kulchock, daughter of the late John and Theresa Stossel, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025, in Uniontown Hospital.
Born October 31, 1939, she was a graduate of Georges Township High School.
Rita was employed at various jewelry stores in the Uniontown area.
She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown.
Rita was preceded in death by her brothers, Vince, Danny and Jack; and her sister, Deloris.
Rita is survived by her husband of 64 years, Bill Kulchock; her sister, Virginia Shutock; her daughters, Lisa Franks and husband Alan, and Karen Sue Schempp; granddaughters, Sarah Schempp McClellan (Alan), and Katherine Wells (Rachael); and many nieces and nephews.
Rita found her joy in being with her family and cooking her famous and delicious cabbage rolls and ladylocks. She loved to read Christian and inspirational books and spending time with her friends.
The family will receive friends and family from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 31, in the DEAN C. WHITMARSH FUNERAL HOME, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance, where visitation continues Saturday, November 1, until 9:15 a.m. when Prayers of Transfer will be said. Her Funeral Mass follows at 10 a.m. in Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 180 Old Walnut Hill Road, Uniontown. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Hopwood.
