Marie C. DeCarlo, 89, of Uniontown, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. She was born August 23, 1936, in Uniontown.
Marie, a loving and devoted daughter, was predeceased by her parents, Charles E. DeCarlo and Louise (George) DeCarlo.
She is survived by her many cousins, extended family and dear friends.
Marie was an active member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church.
She was a long-time administrative secretary at the Uniontown Hospital and retired after 35 years of dedicated service to care for her parents.
Marie lived a full and active life following her retirement. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, walking her neighborhood, exercising with the Silver Sneakers, and visiting with friends and family.
Also left to cherish her memory are her dearest friend, Cindy Lowe, who lovingly cared for and supported Marie over many years. Marie also enjoyed and appreciated the companionship of Kelli Bolish, her caregiver, over the past few months.
In addition, special thanks to Meals on Wheels and the Interfaith Caregivers for their kindnesss and assistance in providing meals and transportation for Marie.
Friends and family will be received from 9:30 to 11 a.m., when a blessing service will be held, Saturday morning, September 13, in SHELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 164 Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown. Interment will be private in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
