Bernard J. Gioia, 76, of Ohiopyle, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025, at his home.

He was born April 14, 1949, in McKeesport, the son of the late Nicholas B. and Anna Mae Billick Gioia.

Bernard is survived by his wife, Nancy L. Glotfelty Gioia; children: Bernard J. Gioia (Christina) of Plum Boro and Jennifer Gioia (Rob Eversole) of Glassport; grandchildren: Amanda Gioia, Melina Gioia, Tiffany Fine, Ashley Fine and Robbie Eversole; four great-grandchildren and siblings, Gary Gioia (Debbie) of Elizabeth and Donna Petruski (Dave) of Elizabeth.

Bernard was a Vietnam Veteran serving in the United States Navy as a SeaBee.

He graduated from South Allegheny High School, class of 1967. He was self-employed as a coal stripper and later as a timber purchaser and logger.

Bernard enjoyed hunting, especially out west.

Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Wednesday September 24. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Township.
