Henry H. Mitchell, 86, of Markleysburg, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Lytle’s Personal Care Home.
He was born January 31, 1939 in Markleysburg, PA, a son of the late Donald and Alice Boyd Mitchell.
In addition to his parents, Henry is preceded in death by his wife Shirley V. Mitchell (May 2025); and siblings Bill Mitchell, Sonny Mitchell, Norm Mitchell, Glenn Mitchell, and Fanny Mitchell.
Henry is survived by his children Henry Mitchell Jr. (Brenda) of Markleysburg and Jason Mitchell (Jamie) of Uniontown; grandchildren Ashley Danko (Troy), Bethany Spinetti (Nathan), Zachary Mitchell (Rachel), Eli Mitchell (Jalyn), and Anna Mitchell; five great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Mary Jarrell of Markleysburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Markleysburg Gospel Center Church.
Henry worked as a mechanic for Green Acres Contracting for many years before his retirement.
Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, FARMINGTON, PA on Monday September 29 from 4 to 8 p.m. Additional visitation will be held in Markleysburg Gospel Center Church on Tuesday September 30 from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Martin Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Thomas Cemetery.
