Lenore Hart Abraham, formerly of Uniontown, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026, in Columbia, S.C. She was born at home April 6, 1927, in Footedale, to the late John and Jane Hart and moved to Uniontown at the age of 12. She attended St. John’s Roman Catholic Grade and High School.

Lenore worked at the Company Store and the Red Cross, then attended Waynesburg College before moving to Pittsburgh. There, she worked as a secretary for the Reuben H. Donnelly Corporation, which created and printed the Yellow Pages.

Lenore was a voracious reader and a long-time member of the “Treasures” Book Club in Uniontown. Lenore possessed the dry wit as well as the poetry and storytelling talents of a true Irishwoman.
