After a recent illness, Arlene Judith “Judy” Fearer passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, in Cranberry Township, surrounded by her close family and loved ones.

Judy was born in Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown, March 26, 1941, to James Burl Baird and Mary Katherine Smith Baird.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Hollingshead; her son-in- law, Jon Hollingshead; and two grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Hollingshead, all of whom reside in Cranberry Township; and her former husband, Clyde Fearer, who resides in Denton, Texas. Also nieces, Aimee Baird and Andria Donnelly and husband Tim Donnelly.

Judy was preceded in death by her mother; her father; and her brother, James Kenneth Baird.

Judy was baptized in the Central Christian Church, Uniontown, July 1, 1955.

Judy and Clyde were married April 15, 1961, in a family ceremony at the Central Christian Church, Uniontown. They traveled to Fort Worth, Texas, where Clyde was in the Air Force, completing his enlistment.

After Clyde received an honorable discharge from the U.S. Air Force in early 1964, Judy and Clyde moved to Altoona, where they lived until mid-1965.

From mid-1965 to September 1968, Judy and Clyde lived in Falls Church, Va. During that time, Judy worked for the Federal Civil Service Commission in Washington DC and worked at the David Taylor Model Basin, where the Navy tested model war ships before building the actual vessel.

Judy and Clyde returned to the Pittsburgh area in 1968, settling in Baldwin Borough.

On September 15, 1974, they welcomed their long-awaited only child, Jennifer R. Fearer-one of Judy’s greatest joys. The family later spent 18 years in Wexford, where Judy devoted herself to raising Jenny.

Judy had a passion for art and had created many paintings and drawings with oils, watercolors and pen & ink during her life. She enjoyed all kinds of music (especially Elvis) and played the piano. Other interests included knitting and crocheting. She was also a volunteer at Harmarville Rehabilitation Center.

Judy lived her last few years at Ridgecrest in Cranberry Township, where she enjoyed spending time with her friends, attending Bible study, the music & entertainment programs and crafts.

Judy’s greatest pleasures were her family, especially her grandchildren, and her faith in God.

The family is thankful for the care, compassion and love received from the staff at Ridgecrest and Bridges Hospice during her final days.

Friends and family will be received Friday, May 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, May 2, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon, where all are welcome to attend in BOYLAN-GLENN-KILDOO FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., 130 Wisconsin Avenue, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.

Judy will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Gardens.
