Mark D. Brozik, 64, of Fredericktown, formerly of the Dunkard Township, Greene County area, passed away Friday, July 31, 2026, following an illness of several years. Born in Morgantown May 7, 1962, he was the son of the late George and Olga Rohulich Brozik.
A 1979 graduate of Mapletown High School, he also attended West Virginia University.
He formerly worked as the business manager for Southeastern Greene School District, and most recently was a senior planning engineer for Shell Global.
Mark was a member of the St. Nicholas Byzantine Church in Brownsville.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 26 years, Cindy Zwolenik Brozik; two stepchildren, whom he thought of as his own, Carl Gardner (Rene) of Scenery Hill, and Cheryl Walker (John) of Carmichaels; his “favorite granddaughter”, Breanna Gardner; three grandsons, Zachary Gardner, Austin Walker and Aiden Walker; a sister, Nancy Mitchell and her children, Ryan and Alexandria; and his dear friends, Mary Gall and Natale “Chicky” Cecchini.
Friends will be received in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, 501 Morgantown Street, Point Marion, Wednesday, August 5, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and again Thursday, August 6, from 10 until the 11 a.m. hour of a funeral service. Interment follows in Mount Macrina Cemetery, Uniontown. Parastas service Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
