Nancy J. Dean, 86, of Lake Lynn, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026 at home.
Nancy was born in York Run, on August 20, 1939, the daughter of the late Louis and Gladys Maust Bander. She grew up in Brooklyn (Flatbush,) New York.
She graduated from Erasmus High School, Brooklyn, New York and retired from WVU Hospital after 18 years of service.
In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Allen G. Dean; mother, Gladys Bander; and daughters, Deborah A. Black and Christina L. Lawrence.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Wayne Dean and wife, Mary, Catherine Beck and husband, Tom, Warren Dean, Christopher Dean and wife, Deana and James Dean and wife, Ronette; son-in-law, Jeff Lawrence; sisters, Rose Maher and Theresa Jacob and husband, Robert; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, and from 9 until 10 a.m, the hour of service, Wednesday, August 12, in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME with The Reverend Randy Byers officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery, Uniontown.
