Dale A. Nelson

Dale A. Nelson, 79, of Rostraver Township, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026 in his home, surrounded by his loving family and his faithful tiny toy poodle, Baby Babette. He was born September 21, 1946, a son of Robert and Leila Nelson.
Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Linda M. Nelson of Rostraver Township; daughter, Lori D. Dudeck and husband Jeffrey; granddaughter, Kirsten E. Dudeck; and great-grandson, Damiyen. Also surviving are his brother, Robert Nelson of High View, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Elizabeth Levin; and his brother, Darrell Nelson.
Dale graduated from Frazier High School in 1965. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a Disabled American Veteran.
He worked at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel as a journeyman machinist. He owned and operated Nelson Cycles, Inc.
Dale attended Beaver County Community College for professional piloting and was a private and instrument-rated pilot.
He was a member of the Rehoboth Presbyterian Church, Rostraver Township.
At the family’s request, there will be no public viewing and a private service, with Pastor Donald Glunt officiating, will be for immediate family only. Interment will follow at the Rehoboth Cemetery in Rostraver Township.
The family would like to extend its appreciation to those from the Allegheny Health Network Home Healthcare and Allegheny Health Network Hospice for their kindness towards Dale and his family.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the ELEY/McCRORY FUNERAL HOME, INC., Fayette City.
