Georgann Meese, 82, of Newell, passed away Friday, August 14, 2026, in her home with all of her loving family by her side.
She was born June 12, 1944 in Baltimore, Md., the daughter of the late Jack and Agnes Dennis Crayne.
She was a member of the Newell United Methodist Church and was part of The Women’s Society.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sharon Toth; brother, Hal Crayne; sister-in- law, Beverly Sabo; two nephews, Patrick Toth and Keith Meese.
Georgann is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert E. “Bob” Meese; four children, Kimberly Bloom, Lisa Stewart and husband Paul, Tammie Finfrock and husband Jim, Bob Meese and wife Chrissy. She is also survived by the absolute joys of her life, her five grandchildren: Brent Bloom, Trevor Stewart and Chloe, Stormmie Finfrock and Marcus, Taylor Stewart and Dustin, and Landon Finfrock and Katylynn; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Tuesday, August 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., and Wednesday, August 19, from 12 noon until 1 p.m., when a funeral service will be held, with Pastor Jack Washabaugh officiating.
Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park.
