Cynthia McKay Lemon, 86, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in her home, with her family by her side.
She was born October 18, 1939, in Radford, Va., the daughter of Charles and Helen Dorrence Lemon.
In addition to her parents, Cynthia was preceded in death by her husband and soulmate of 52 years, Guy Lemon; her sister, Linda Whalen; and brother, Forrest McKay.
Cynthia was a well known phlebotomist at Uniontown Hospital, where she made many wonderful memories with friends over the years.
Cynthia is survived by her children, Dale Woodke and husband Robert Woodke of Uniontown, and Alan Lemon and wife Rose of Temecula, Calif., her grandchildren, Kaitlin Craft and husband Cory of Uniontown, Alessandra Lemon, James Lemon and Jessica Johnston, all of Temecula; along with her great- grandchildren, Jackson Craft, Quinn Craft, Zaeda Lemon, Serravina Lemon, and Joshua Hufemia; sister, Sheri Davis of Fallbrook, Calif., her best friend of 68 years, Suzanne Schuessler of Uniontown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cynthia was the heart of her family. She was steady, loving, and endlessly devoted to those she cherished most. There truly wasn’t anyone who met her that didn’t love her warmth, kindness, and loving spirit.
Her greatest joy was the time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all who gathered around her. Though her family grieves her absence, they find comfort in knowing she is finally reunited with her soulmate, the love of her life, together again in eternal peace.
Funeral arrangements are private and under the direction of the DeGUSIPE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 65 N. Gallatin Avenue, Uniontown, Stacey A. Dolfi, funeral director. Interment is private.
