Thomas I. Abbott, Sr., 59, of Confluence, passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026, in UPMC Altoona. He was born October 29, 1966 in Canton, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph F., Sr. and Margaret M. Williams Abbott.
He is survived by sons, Thomas, Jr. and Robert (Elizabeth) Abbott; and a daughter, Destiney Scott, all of Confluence; grandchildren, Anthony Keyton and Robert, Jr. and Hudson Abbott; sisters, Sandra Baker (James Conn), Joanne Daugherty, Esther King, Nancy Abbott, Josephine Spittal (Samuel) and Brenda Rugg (Jody); brothers, Joseph Abbott, Jr. (Sue) and Jonathan Abbott (Betty); lifelong friends, Chuck and Linda Heining, Tim McClintock, Mark and Anita Applebee; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Tom was a 1984 graduate of Turkeyfoot Valley Area High School and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Gulf War.
He loved his children and grandchildren and was a loving brother to his siblings, always available to help them after the death of their father.
Friends will be received from 1 until 4 p.m., when a service will be held, Saturday, February 14, in the United Community Church of God in Ursina, with the Rev. Shawn Roberts officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions, in Tom’s memory, be sent in care of the funeral home.
