Jackie Allen Halfhill, Sr.
Lemont Furnace
Jackie Allen “Jack” Halfhill, Sr., 81, of Lemont Furnace, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, February 12, 2026, in his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 17, 1944, in Connellsville, to the late Myrtle Virginia Halfhill Balsley.
Jack will be remembered as an excellent mechanic and “jack of all trades”. He could truly fix anything!
In his spare time, he thoroughly enjoyed deer hunting and made many memories while doing so.
Most importantly, he was a man of God, steadfast and unwavering in his strong Christian faith. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing him has no question of where he is today: fully restored and walking side-by-side with Jesus in Heaven.
His faith drew him close to many other Christians. In the last portion of his life, he was an active member of Cove Run Free Methodist Church.
Left to treasure his memory are his loving wife, Minnie Zebley Halfhill; two children: daughter, Kimberly Halfhill Rivera; and son, Jack (Sheila) Halfhill Jr.; eight grandchildren, Tiffany (Robert Guthrie) Rivera, Nick (Brianna) Halfhill, Anthony Halfhill, Codee Rivera, Zack (Elizabeth) Halfhill, and Duane “DJ” Halfhill Jr., Wesley (Jena) Bowser, and Brittany (Rolly) Thorpe; 10 great-grandchildren, Mason Guthrie, Logan Guthrie, Kessel Rivera, Ava Halfhill, Nolan Halfhill, Beau Halfhill, Oakley, Maebelle, Easton and Elaina; aunts, Josephine Halfhill, Annabelle Halfhill, and Karen (Paul) Matthews, who was more like a sister to him than an aunt; daughter-in-law, Iris Halfhill; sister-in-law, Paulette Hardy; stepdaughter, Christine (William) Bowser; stepson, Harry Cooper; many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great- nephews, and cousins; caregiver, Charlotte Stickle, his first wife of 27 years and the mother of his children.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his son, Duane “Eric” Halfhill Sr.; brother, Randolph “Randy” Hardy; stepdad, Henry C. “Herk” Balsley; as well as many aunts and uncles, with whom he was extremely close.
