Louise E. Gerber, 93, of Waltersburg, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13, 2026 surrounded by her loving family in Uniontown.

She was born on October 7, 1932 in Republic, a daughter of the late Tony Gasparatz and Mary Boycheck Gasparatz. She was a lifelong resident of Waltersburg and was a lifetime member of The Holy Trinity Orthodox Church of New Salem. Louise’s life centered around her family. Her beautiful light blue eyes were always noticed, along with her pleasant smile.

Louise was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Rudolph “Toopy” Gerber, Sr.; sisters: Mary Gasparatz, Marge Macau and Ann Ruby; and brothers: Michael, Tony, George, Martin and Ed. She was the last surviving member of her immedate family.

Louise is survived by her three children: Rudolph Gerber, Jr. and wife, Regina, Michael Gerber, and Karen Laciak and husband, Tim; three grandchildren: Renee (Justin) Gaydos, Reeva (Cody) Cross and Kiersten (Clayton) Harkins; great-grandchildren: Nora and Quinn Gaydos, and Cooper and Adeline Cross; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received in The DEARTH FUNERAL HOME, 35 South Mill Street, New Salem, from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, at The Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, 91 South Mill Street, New Salem. A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. with The Very Reverend Vitaly Dudkin as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Orthodox Cemetery.

A Panikhida Service will be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
