Harry Douglas Reagan, 92, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully Friday, February 20, 2026, at his home with loving family by his side. Known to most as “Herk” or “Herky,” he lived a long, accomplished life – from husband, father and grandfather, to businessman, friend and avid card player.
He also enjoyed many hobbies such as racquetball, golf, poker and Friday nights with the fellas.
Harry was born on Aug. 20, 1933, to Harry O. Reagan and Marie Franks Reagan. He attended South Union High School as well as Waynesburg College, before successfully graduating from Duquesne University in 1964. He was recognized by the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, nominated for his academic achievements, leadership and community service. He was a graduate of the Pennsylvania School of Banking and earned a graduate certificate from the American Institute of Banking.
He served in the 4th Armored Division during the Korean War and was selected as soldier of the week of the 4th Armored Division December 16, 1954.
In 1951, Harry got a job as a mail carrier at Gallatin National Bank and continued to advance, through hard work and education, eventually becoming vice president. In 1988, he became the president of Second National Bank. Through the years, he served on many boards, including: Uniontown Hospital, Uniontown YMCA, the Second National Bank and chairman of the board of Christ United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 69 years, Barbara Laughery Reagan; son, Gary Reagan (Kim Evans); and daughter, Holly Reagan. He was the proud grandfather of Amanda Barber (Steve), J.P. Archibald (Kayla), Gary D. Reagan (Cassidy), Zachary Archibald (Maria), Alison Nicholson (Shawn), Samuel Archibald, Benjamin Archibald and Daniel Archibald (Sophie). He was also blessed with great-grandchildren: Finnegan and Brynnly Barber, Piper and Ace Nicholson, and Camila Archibald.
Harry is also deeply missed by Kathy Reagan and James Archibald, who considered him a father figure, and many other family members and friends that considered him an integral part of their lives.
He is preceded in death by cherished son, Kevin Reagan; brother, Martin Reagan; mother, Marie Franks Reagan; and father, Harry O. Reagan.
Harry was the epitome of a gentleman. His wit, integrity, strength and card-playing skills will be deeply missed by the community, friends and family remembering his legacy.
Friends will be received in the SHELL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 24 and until 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 25, the hour of service with the Reverend Dr. Fred Monk officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
