Robert Franklin Hixon, a proud Vietnam War veteran and member of the 65th Combat Engineers, passed away Monday, January 5, 2026, at the age of 78.

Family and friends will be received in the JOHN S. MAYKUTH JR. FUNERAL HOME, 7 River Avenue, Masontown, from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, January 9, and from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at 12 noon Saturday, January 10, in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Becka Abbott officiating. Interment follows in Greendale Cemetery, Masontown, with Military Rites accorded by Carmichaels VFW and Honor Guard.
