Cheryl Ann Kolek, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, 71, of New Salem, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2026, with her loving family by her side.
She was born August 30, 1954, in Brownsville, a daughter of William and Etta Ruth Samol.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sister, Cindy.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Anthony Kolek; children: Melissa (Jeffrey) Davis, of Brownsville and Jason (Jennifer) Kolek of New Salem; four grandchildren: Jeffrey Jr. (Anna), Jacob, Kylie and Aubree.
Cheryl’s family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, at the KISH-FABRY FUNERAL HOME, INC., 19 Legion Street, Republic, where Prayers of Transfer will be prayed at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Francis of Assisi (Footedale worship site). Interment will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill.
