Patricia Marie Knapp Schneider
formerly of Uniontown
Patricia Marie Knapp Schneider passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born in Akron, Ohio June 1, 1948. She grew up in Uniontown and resided in Willoughby, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, whose warmth and devotion to her family defined her life.
Patricia is survived by her beloved husband, Richard John Schneider, whom she was married to for 53 years; her daughters, Kathryn Boerner (Daniel), Jennifer Foss (Brian), and Jessica Beckman (Eric); and her siblings, Stephanie King (Harvey), James Knapp (Susan), and Steven Knapp. She is also survived by her five grandsons, Evan, Ian, Eli, Jack and Noah; and her granddaughter, Evelyn. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them.
She was preceded in death by her father, Stephen Knapp; and her mother, Catherine Knapp (Guy).
Patricia was a graduate of La Roche University, an accomplishment she was proud of and one that reflected her dedication and perseverance. She worked as a clinic aide for almost 30 years at Royalview Elementary School in Willowick, Ohio.
Patricia loved and appreciated all of her caregivers at University Hospitals, especially her oncology nurse, Sarah, whose genuine kindness shone through in every visit, always welcoming her with ginger ale, peanut butter crackers, and a beautiful smile.
Patricia will be remembered for her love of family, her kindness, and the steady presence she was to all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched and the family she loved so deeply.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 16, at The Abbey of Willoughby, (located on the grounds of McMahon- Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), 38011 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby, with a funeral service starting at 6:30 p.m.
