Michelle Amber
formerly of Uniontown
Michelle Amber passed away Saturday, December 10, 2026. She was born August 4, 1950 in Uniontown.
She graduated from Uniontown Area High School with the Class of 1968 and then attended the University of Pittsburgh, where she graduated with a B.S. in Journalism.
She accepted a position with the Bureau of National Affairs in Washington D.C. soon after graduating. While working at BNA she completed a Master’s degree in Labor Relations, and became the lead AFL-CIO reporter for the Daily Labor Report covering a wide range of collective bargaining agreements, strikes, organizing drives, labor union reorganizations, court decisions, and arbitration rulings.
In the early 1970s she met the love of her life, Lawrence Kline, and married in 1984 until separated by his death in 2023. She and her husband were avid travelers and particularly enjoyed the cruise ship life.
Michelle was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Florence Amber; and two brothers, Gordon and Philip.
She is survived by her brother, Arnie; and sisters-in-law, Cindy, Carmella and Susan Amber; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins; her four stepchildren; and her best friend and adopted sister, Gail Humphries.
