Joseph C. Wilson, Sr., 65, of Smithfield, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2026 in Uniontown Hospital. He was born in Uniontown, a son of the late Charles W. Wilson and Gladys M. Blackburn Wilson.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, John W. Wilson and David W. Wilson; and sister, Phey Wilson.
Joseph was a member of Central Christian Church. He worked as a sanitary engineer for the City of Uniontown Sanitation Department. Joseph enjoyed doing outdoor work and working on cars.
Left to cherish Joseph’s memory are his wife of 44 years, Robin Cooper Wilson of Smithfield; son, Joseph C. Wilson, Jr. of Smithfield; daughter, Cindy Lee Wilson (Mike “Slim” Imler) of Smithfield; brother, Charles Wilson of Buffington; sister, Charlene Wilson of Mt. Pleasant; precious granddaughter, Julyia Lee Wilson; and many nieces, nephews and sisters-in-law.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, where family and friends were received from 2 until the time of a service celebrating Joseph’s life at 7 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, with Pastor Mike Lyons officiating. Interment will be private.
