Robert W. Means, 64, of Dunbar, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, in his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Uniontown February 1, 1961, a son of the late Calvin and Beverly Hall Means.

He was also predeceased by a sister, Cathy Goisse.

Robert was employed as a call taker with the PA State Police for 10 years and a 911 operator for 25 years.

He graduated from Uniontown High School Class of 1979 and attended LBI.

He served his country with the U.S. Navy and was a member of the Salvation Army Church. Robert was a member of the VFW Post 8543, American Legion Post 51, the Moose and Eagles. He enjoyed music, karaoke, and was an avid Steelers fan.

Robert is survived by his wife, Linda Adams Means; his sons: Frank Means and fianceeSteph Burkus of Connellsville; Michael (Hannah) Crago of Uniontown; his daughter, Kati-Robb (Nikki) Means of Uniontown; stepson, James Lint of Perryopolis; stepdaughter, Anna (Brad) Robertson of Banning; brother, Dave (Darlene) Means of Hermitage; and sister, Debbie (Jon) Vecchio of Myrtle Beach, S.C. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, where visitation will be held from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, January 29. A service will follow at 7 p.m., with Retired Major David Means officiating. Interment will be private.
