Ronald E. Sanner, 84, of Perryopolis, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in his home, surrounded by his family. Born December 23, 1941 in Star Junction, he was the son of the late Charles N. and Teresa M. Shumar Sanner.
A resident of Perryopolis for the past 16 years, Mr. Sanner was born and raised in Star Junction, moved away for work and returned to Perryopolis after he retired.
Mr. Sanner was a member of Star Junction Baptist Church and was a self-employed delivery driver, delivering to multiple businesses.
He loved golf, baseball and football, and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan. During his high school years, Ronnie was in the Belvederes, was a top drummer in the school band and would sing on the radio.
He is survived by his wife, Janet Wendel Sanner, to whom he was married for 66 years; son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Lisa Sanner of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; daughter-in-law, Kerry Ann Sanner of Florida; two sisters, Connie Prill of Florida, Nancy Lee Kruezer of Pittsburgh; two grandchildren, Caroline Sanner, Christopher Lee and Amanda Sanner; great-granddaughter, Anabelle Sanner.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Sanner; and brother, Jack Nolan Sanner.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m., when funeral services will be held, Friday, July 3, with Pastor Glenn Hart, of Harmony United Presbyterian, officiating, in the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty Street, Perryopolis, 724-736-2515.
