Ronald John “Bun” Hucik, 84, of Uniontown, Pa. Passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Mount Macrina Manor after a brief illness.

Born June 5, 1942, a son of the late John J. Hucik Jr. and Helen Kovalsky Hucik, Bun attended North Union schools. An expert auto mechanic, he owned and operated Bendik’s (later Bun’s) Parking Lot, Uniontown’s multi-tiered facility on Main Street.

On February 21, 1976, he married Donna Georgiana Hucik, who passed away July 27, 2025. Devoted “Parrot Heads”, they attended 37 Jimmy Buffet concerts, wintered in Florida for 40 years, and shared a deep love for their many cats over 50 years, including their late 19-year-old rescue, Chelsea, and 5-year-old Tabby, Whiskey, who was recently adopted by Maria Merryman.

An avid car enthusiast, Bun restored and owned 91 vehicles, including a candy -apple red ’54 Plymouth Savoy police -style model, muscle cars, customized vans, and luxury sedans. He was a staunch Steelers and Pirates fan.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Timothy Hucik (Linda). He is survived by his sister, Elaine Hucik George (Ron Sr.) of Florida.; nephew, Ron George Jr. (girlfriend, Alexandra); niece, Patty George Ringer (Rick); great-nephews, Michael Ringer (girlfriend Hannah); and Steven Ringer, all of Florida; brother- in- law, POA, and executor, Frank D. Georgiana Jr.; and “adopted” family, Barb and Grace Fike (Yalich) of Uniontown. Barbara Yalich Fike faithfully assisted Frank with her unwavering support, kindness, and hard work helping him to take care of Bun’s care and affairs as the POA and executor. He is further survived by cousins Nevanka Fulk and son Donovan, Rich Sayers (Lori) of Ohio, Lisa Kranker (Frank) and Family of Calif., Mark Paull (Nancy) and family, Ill. and many dear neighbors and school friends.

Friends will be received in the TERRAVECCHIA – HAKY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 515 N. Main Street Masontown, Pa., 15461 on Wednesday July 8, 2026 from 9 until 10:15 a.m. when prayers of transfer will be said.

A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church in Uniontown, at 11 a.m.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Uniontown, Pa. with burial next to his wife.

In lieu of flowers, Masses may be offered at St. Therese 61 Mill St, Uniontown, PA 15401 or donations made to Keeping the Faith Animal Shelter, 1198 Connellsville St, Lemont Furnace, PA 15456.
