Colleen Pearl Brazill
Uniontown
Colleen Pearl Brazill, of Uniontown, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026.
This story begins in a living room November 13, 1951, when Colleen was born the youngest of five children to Harry and Margaret Humphrey. Colleen graduated from Laurel Highlands, and then earned her cosmetology license from Laurel.
On a blind date she met Raymond Brazill; the two fell in love and were quickly married. They welcomed two children, Ray, Jr. and Chad.
As things progressed, the river of life changed direction and Colleen found herself a single mother raising two boys. She did splendidly; she made birthdays and holidays fun and memorable! Who reading this remembers having green sandwiches??!!
She worked a few different jobs and also became the ‘Stylist of the Patch’ cutting and styling hair for many friends and family in her basement salon.
Change in flow again brought her to John Worley, and they eventually married. Colleen welcomed grandchildren and that amazing gift of making things special exploded all over again. But, that river of life would change direction yet again.
Colleen found peace in her friends, family and her church. She continued to spread love and make things special, and finally, like one of her beloved Hallmark movies, the river of life brought her and Ray, Sr. back together again!! They would spend 15 more years together, back on the road of adventure, love, joy and happiness.
Colleen was preceded in death by her father, Harry Humphrey, Sr. and mother, Margaret Smith Humphrey; her three brothers, Harry Humphrey, Jr., Dewayne Humphrey, and Springer Humphrey.
Colleen is survived by her sons, Ray, Jr. and Desiree’ Brazill, and Chad and Erin Brazill; her three grandsons, Peyton Ladd, Ethan Brazill, and Cyllian Brazill; and her sister, Jan Humphrey Wolverton.
Colleen’s wishes were to be cremated, and her and Ray, Sr.’s ashes to be spread in places that were special to them. She also didn’t want a viewing, so a celebration of life for her will be planned and the family will reach out when arrangements are made.
