Michael was a beloved history teacher of 24 years and will be dearly missed by his former students and friends.
He graduated from Duquesne University, earned his master’s degree from the former California University of Pennsylvania, and was in his final semester of earning his PhD in Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Known for his beautiful flowers that delighted his neighbors, his greatest joys were his family, friends, dog, Gracie and cats, Sunni and Petey. He had a passion for the outdoors and spent many enjoyable hours camping, fishing, gardening and landscaping.
As a teen, Michael earned his Eagle Scout badge from Troop 608, Third Presbyterian Church, Uniontown and more recently worked part-time for Duda’s Farm.
Michael was loved for his kindness and compassion towards all who were privileged to know him. Truly a bright light has gone from this world, and we will miss him until we reunite with him in Heaven.
