Timothy Keith Lewis, 79, of Fairchance, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, July 10, 2026.
Born in Uniontown on October 31, 1946, he was the beloved son of the late Edward and Leah Lewis.
Tim was a lifelong resident of the Fairchance community, where he built a beautiful life centered around family, devotion and hard work.
He proudly served his nation as a member of the United States Army Reserve. Throughout his working years, Tim was known for his strong work ethic and dedication, working for the PA Turnpike and as a coal miner at the Robena Mine, where he was a proud and loyal member of the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA).
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his cherished siblings: Jane Beatty (Willaim) and Thomas Lewis (Dorothy).
He leaves behind a rich legacy of love and family. Tim is survived by his devoted wife of many years, Ida Lewis; his loving children: Dawn Danko and her husband, Anthony, Donna Lewis, and Brian Lewis. He was the proud grandfather of George Blanda, Courtney Groover, Andrew Blanda (Tricia), Josh Groover, Chaz Gibson and Nathaniel Gibson; and the adoring great-grandfather of Brayden Ricks, Michael Blanda, Cole Blanda, Carter Groover and Emilee Blanda. He is also survived by several dear nieces and nephews who will miss him deeply.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt, special thank-you to his home healthcare providers, Brittany Austin and Martha DeLorenzo of Amedisys Hospice Home Health Care of Uniontown, for their exceptional, compassionate care and support.
Tim’s warmth, wisdom and presence will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His family will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
Tim’s family will receive friends in the GOLDSBORO-FABRY FUNERAL HOME, INC., from 2 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, where his funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. with Pastor Michael Lyons, officiating. Interment will be private.
