James E. Angelo

Uniontown

James E. “Jim” Angelo, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 9, 2026, after a brief illness, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born August 5, 1944, in Brownsville, Jim graduated from high school in 1962 and soon began a lifelong journey with the love of his life, Judy Kapel Angelo. Together they shared 61 years of marriage, building a life centered on love, family, friendship, and unwavering devotion to one another.

Jim enjoyed a distinguished 30-year career with McCormick & Company, where his talent, leadership, and work ethic enabled him to rise through the organization and ultimately serve as vice president of sales. Colleagues respected him for his integrity, sharp business acumen, and ability to build lasting relationships wherever he went.

While his professional accomplishments were significant, Jim’s greatest pride was his family. He was the devoted father of two sons, James “J” Angelo and Jason Angelo; and he treasured his role as “Poppy” to his six grandchildren. Whether sharing stories, offering guidance, or simply spending time together, he found immense joy in being part of their lives.

Jim embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. He enjoyed fly fishing, photography, travel, and welcoming family and friends into his home for memorable dinner parties filled with laughter and conversation. He was known for his quick wit, generous spirit, and remarkable ability to make others feel valued and welcome.

In retirement, Jim and Judy fulfilled a long-held dream by making their home in The Villages, Fla. There, he enjoyed an active and rewarding retirement surrounded by friends, sunshine, and the family he cherished above all else.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Judith “Judy” Angelo; sons, James “J” Angelo and Jason Angelo; and six cherished grandchildren.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of kindness, generosity, and time spent with loved ones in honor of Jim’s memory.
