Johnny Paul Paroda, Sr., 61, of Fairbank, passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, July 23, 2026.

He was born Thursday, July 8, 1965, a beloved son of Patricia Cole Paroda and the late Frank Paroda, Sr.

Johnny is survived by his loving wife, Eleanor Teets Paroda; his children, Johnny (Melissa) Paroda Jr., Brooke Ann Paroda, Joni Paroda, Margaret (Cody) Metts, and Robert Metts; cherished grandchildren, Italia Paroda, Jamie Lynn Paroda, Johnny Paroda III, Brittany Michael, Makayla Grubb, Liam Brangard, Ashton Brangard, Caleb Keyton, Lexieann Metts, and Karson Myers; his sisters, Barb Paroda, Constance (Floyd) Armel, Sue Ann (Samuel) Harden, and Tammy Lynn (John) Robison; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to his father, Frank Paroda, Sr., he was preceded in death by his daughter, Nikie Lynn; his brother, Frank (Eleanor) Paroda, Jr.; and his sister, Julie (Harvey) Knox.

Johnny’s greatest joy was his family. He treasured every moment with them and especially loved being “Unc” and “Pappy.” A big, strong man with an even bigger heart, he had a way of making everyone, especially the kids, laugh and smile. He enjoyed life, loved a good time, and loved his family deeply.

A gifted mechanic and skilled craftsman, Johnny could fix just about anything with a motor. Whether it was a car, truck, motorcycle, boat, lawn mower, dirt bike, or golf cart, he took pride in bringing them back to life. He also spent many years working in the electrical and construction industries. He was always willing to lend a helping hand.

Johnny will be remembered for his strength, kind heart, quick wit, and unwavering love for his family. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Johnny’s life in the TERRAVECCHIA-HAKY HOME FOR FUNERALS, 515 N. Main Street, Masontown, Monday, August 3, from 4 to 7 p.m., when a blessing service will be held in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will be private.
