With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Joseph DelVerne on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on October 25, 1951, in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Bob was a son of the late Verna Anastasi DelVerne and Joseph A. DelVerne Jr. He lived a life a marked by his passion, courage, and devotion to his family.

Despite being diagnosed with end-stage heart disease, Bob displayed unwavering tenacity and strength, maintaining his sense of humor throughout diagnosis and treatment.

Driven by his passion for storytelling and connecting with others, Bob dedicated nearly 50 years to a career in sales. He had an innate ability to build close, personal relationships with others, and colleagues and clients fondly remember him as a talkative, charismatic man who always had a way of making them laugh.

Bob, a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, was a devoted sports fan. He never missed a Steelers game or Lakers and Georgetown basketball games, always calling friends and family to debrief afterward. His wife and daughter will fondly remember sharing gnocchis and Meloni’s sauce with him, sitting by the pool on summer afternoons, and spending time at home with their family Shih Tzu, Benson.

Bob was unapologetically himself. He lived life on his own terms, seizing every opportunity to spend time with the people he loved. His family and friends will always cherish his stories, his big personality, and the way he could make you break out in laughter. He will be greatly missed and forever remembered.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pamela Mikeo DelVerne; daughter Kathryn (Nick) DelVerne Scarano; grandchild Del Scarano; sister Pamela (Robert) Miller; nephews Christopher (Gina) Miller and Zachary (Nicole) Miller and their children, Gianna, Kynzlee, Christian, Brynn and Bria; and many other family and friends who will deeply miss him.

Friends and family may visit The Skirpan Funeral Home, 135 Park St, Brownsville, PA 15417 on Friday, June 5 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until a Prayer Service at 10 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in The Historic Church of St. Peter, 304 Shaffner Avenue, Brownsville, PA with Rev. Fr. Efren Ambre officiating. Entombment will follow at Sylvan Heights Cemetery in Uniontown, PA.
