Susan A. Ventura, 94, of Daisytown, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026, in the Uniontown Hospital.
She was born in Crescent Heights August 17, 1931, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Gordusik Dolak.
Susan was a homemaker and later employed as a custodian for over 10 years at the California University of Pennsylvania.
A woman of faith, she was a lifelong member of the St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Richeyville.
Her hobbies included crocheting, word search, gardening and canning, cooking and baking, and above all she loved her family and her grandchildren.
Surviving are children, Dominic Ventura (Bonnie), Anthony Ventura (fiancee Sarah), Dino Ventura (Janice), Dina Summa (Anthony), and Stephen Ventura (fiancee Lucy); nine grandchildren; 15 great- grandchildren; siblings, Paul Dolak (Laura Lee) and Marge Kostial; sister-in-law, Cindy Dolak; several nieces and nephews.
Preceding Susan in death were her husband, Dominic A. Ventura; daughter, Vincenza Ventura; stepbrothers, Andy, Steve and Joe Dolak; and sister, Mary Zuchowski.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, June 4, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the JOHN B. GREENLEE FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 2830 Main Street, Beallsville, where prayers will be recited at 9:30 a.m. Friday, June 5, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 10 a.m. in the St. Katharine Drexel Parish, Richeyville Campus, with Fr. Alec Scheuer as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Coal Center.
