Charles W. “Chuck” West, Jr., 58, of Smithton, passed away peacefully Thursday, June 4, 2026, at home with loving family at his side.

He was born July 22, 1967, in Brownsville.

Chuck was a heavy equipment operator. He loved riding his Harley and was a member of ABATE. He was a loving son, companion, father and grandfather, who will be missed by his family and many friends.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charles West.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Marlene Bailey West (Rob Crossland); his loving companion, Marcie Rogers; children: Chaz West of Smithton, Joseph West and Kayleigh Garlick (Calee) both of Connellsville; grandchildren: Carter, Ava, Kyleigh and several others; step-mother, Dorothy West; sisters, Charlene Newman (Thomas) and Brenda Bailey (Buddy) both of Uniontown; and other brothers and sisters; nieces and nephews: James, William, Sissy, Dionna, Dillon, Danny and several others.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, from 3 to 7 p.m., the hour of service, Wednesday, with Pastor Michael Lyons officiating. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
