On the morning of Sunday, March 22, 2026, Sister Petronilla (Anna Mary) was welcomed into the loving embrace of her Lord after a full life in His service. She was 94 years of age and in the 76th year of her life as a Sister of St. Basil.

Sister Petronilla was born September 16, 1931, in Hazleton, and was formerly a parishioner of St. John’s Church in Hazleton.

Relatives and friends were received at the Monastery Tuesday, March 24, from 3:30 until the time of the Parastas Service, which was sung at 6:30 p.m. The Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Dormition Section of Mount Macrina Cemetery.
