Maxine A. Kulp
formerly of Uniontown
Maxine A. Kulp, 83, of Pittsburgh, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, in Ivy Park Nursing Home in Pittsburgh.
She was born in Uniontown December 30, 1942, a daughter of the late Charles and Mary Moxie.
She was also preceded in death by her late husband, Leland Blake Kulp. Leland was a veteran of the United States Army, having served during World War II.
Maxine is survived by a son, John Kulp of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Stephen Moxie and wife Marlene of Beaver.
She graduated from Mt. St. Macrina High School, Class of 1960, then obtained a bachelor’s degree from Carlow University, previously Mount Mercy College, in 1964.
Maxine obtained several certificates and trainings throughout her life, including: Chatham University in piano and violin, several others in music, Cornell University, Carnegie Mellon University, certificate from the state in 1958 for “What Columbus Day Means to Me”, certificate of merit of My True Security competition in 1960, student of the month in Exchange Club in 1960, and 4H Club certification in 1955 for Snappy Stitches.
She worked for the Army Service Clubs and Rittenhouse & Associates as Individualized Personnel Placement Services.
Interment is in Mt. St. Macrina Manor.
