James Francis DeCarlo, Sr., 85, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully, in his home, Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

He was born January 3, 1941, in Uniontown, the son of the late Frank and Margaret Russell DeCarlo.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Mark DeCarlo; and an infant sister.

James is survived by his son, James DeCarlo Jr.; his daughter, Brooke DeCarlo Fagan (John); six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; special friend, Cathy Clawson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

James worked as a truck driver for many years and continued driving until the age of 78. He loved looking out the “picture window” and found joy in listening to the radio during his long drives.

Family and friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Monday, March 30, from 2 p.m. until the hour of the memorial service at 7 p.m., with Pastor Steve Davis officiating. AMVETS Post 103 will present military honors.
