Zachary Paul Wolfe
Carmichaels
It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Zachary Paul Wolfe announce his tragic passing Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the age of 34. He was born January 27, 1992, in Morgantown, W.Va., the son of Dennis and Bonnie Parson Wolfe.
Zachary was a graduate of Carmichaels High School, Class of 2010. He was a member of the Mikes baseball and golf teams. He furthered his education at Penn State Fayette, earning an associate degree in mining technology.
His dedication and passion for his career was evident in his many years of service with Core Natural Resources, formerly Consol Energy, where he worked since 2013. His work ethic was both admirable and inspiring.
Outside of work, Zachary had a love for the outdoors. He took great pleasure in hunting duck, deer, and turkey, as well as fishing. Together with his best friend, Chuck, he ran the Southwestern Pennsylvania chapter of Ducks Unlimited. He had a love for the slopes, recently enjoying ski trips to Snowshoe, W.Va., and Jackson Hole, Wyo. He was a Pittsburgh sports fan, with an unwavering loyalty to the Penguins, Steelers, and Pirates; attending as many Pens games as possible. A master of the smoker, Zachary had perfected pulled pork, turkeys for Friendsgiving that he and his wife enjoyed hosting at their home, and a wide array of other smoked meats, eggs, pies, and cheeses.
Known for his caring nature and his kind heart, he was the life of every gathering-the first to take to the dance floor, with an infectious spirit that could fill any room. He brought endless smiles, and touched countless lives. Zachary was truly a blessing to everyone.
Above all, Zachary treasured his role as husband and father. On September 28, 2019, he married his love, Sarah Nicole Doty, and together they raised their children, Kenzlee Rayne Wolfe and Connor James Wolfe. He poured his heart and soul into his family-they were his world.
Along with his wife, children, and parents, Zachary’s memory will forever be celebrated by his brother, Brandon Wolfe (Brittany); grandmother, Bernice Collins; father-in-law, Stephen Doty (Karen); mother-in- law, Lisa Black (Timothy); brothers-in- law, Josh Doty, Steve Doty (Lindsey), Matthew Doty (Tianna), Derek Black, and Isaac Longenette; sister-in- law, Emily Mackey (Brady); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, including all of those at SWPA Ducks Unlimited.
Zachary was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Alberta Wolfe, and Kenneth Parson; and his uncle, Kenny Parson.
Family and friends are welcome from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, in YOSKOVICH FUNERAL HOME, INC., Carmichaels. Everyone is invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 28, in the St. Matthias Parish at St. Hugh, 408 Route 88, Carmichaels, with the Rev. J. Francis Frazer as celebrant.
