Robert J. Petcheny, 81, of Uniontown, passed away peacefully on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026. He was born August 22, 1945, the son of the late Joseph Petcheny, Jr. and Thelma Kattaron Petcheny.

Bob was a 1963 graduate of German Township Senior High School, where he excelled in football and later attended Fairmont University.

Bob faithfully served his country in the United States Army as a Military Policeman during the Vietnam War.

He was a businessman and the owner and operator of BJ’s Sportsbar in Uniontown.

Bob was passionate about sports, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending time with his family and beloved pets.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gerald E. Petcheny; and his sister, Donna J. Petcheny.

He will be lovingly missed by his life partner, Bernadine Wesolowsky of Uniontown; brother, Edward A. Petcheny and wife Ann; loving niece, Nicole Petcheny; nephew, E.J. Petcheny; his sister, Elaine R. Rantovich and her son, nephew Ryan N. Rantovich.
