Debra Lou Hardy Gallis, 72, of Dunbar, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at WVU Medicine J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
She was born September 9, 1954, in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late Junior Frank and Thelma L. Matthews Hardy
Debra was a member of St. Aloysius R.C. Church in Dunbar. She enjoyed camping and spending time with the family she loved. She worked for many years as a Line Maintainer with Crown, Cork and Seal. Later, she worked as a Revenue Auditor with UPS.
She is survived by her daughter, Dayna Self and husband, Chris; sons, John Gallis, Jr. and wife, Amy, and Chad Gallis and wife, Tabitha; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Jean Stricker and husband Bill and Betty Beatty; both of Dunbar; sisters-in-law, Jackie Hardy of Dunbar Twp., Peggy Hardy of Connellsville and Garnet Crossland and husband Kent of Lemont Furnace.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Gallis, Sr; and two brothers, Richard and Ronald Hardy.
Cremation arrangements are under the care and supervision of the, PAUL G. FINK FUNERAL HOME, INC., 418 North Pittsburgh Street, Connellsville, PA 15425.
In accordance with Debra’s wishes, no visitation or services will be held.
