Charles Firon Grimm, 93, of Fairchance, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026, in the Mount Saint Macrina Manor Home, Uniontown.

He was born September 19, 1933, son of the late John and Lorna Grimm.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances “Dolly” Grimm, their son, David Grimm; his brothers and their wives: Harry (Lorena), William (Ermine), James (Shirley) and Paul (Karen) Grimm; and a daughter-in-law, Judith Grimm.

Charles was a 1951 graduate of Fairchance High School, a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a past member of the Pennsylvania Society of Land Surveyors.

During his life, Charles worked as a crew chief for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, a surveyor for Groff and Myers Surveying of Harrisburg and owned and operated a land surveying business for many decades.

Left to cherish Charles’ memory are his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren: son, Charles R. (Marcia) Grimm; daughters, Patricia (Douglas) Yauger and Suzanne (George) Shultz; grandchildren: Dr. Shawna Grimm, Kelly Jeschke, Michael (Darlene) Shultz, Matthew (Jenilee) Shultz, Neil (Ashley) Shultz, Kristi Shultz; and great-grandchildren: Marquis Grimm, Jaelyn Terry, Brantley and Grayson Jeschke, Kaleb, Kaitlynn and Addison Shultz, Morgan and Riley Shultz, and Jillian (Coltin) Savage, Curtis and Natasia Shultz; special niece, Donna Guthrie along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

A special thank you to Dr. Marcie Goisse, OPSTA nurses, aides and staff, and Mount Saint Macrina Manor Home for their care and compassion.

Visitation will take place Wednesday, October 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dean C. Whitmarsh Funeral Home, 134 West Church Street, Fairchance. Visitation on Thursday, October 8, will take place from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of service with Pastor Russ Brown officiating at the First Presbyterian Church, 114 West Church Street, Fairchance.
