Mark William Turner
Uniontown
Mark William “Wink” Turner, beloved Dad, Grandpa and Son, of Coolspring, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus, his Lord and Savior, “absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 3, 2026.
Mark was born in Uniontown to his loving parents, Samuel “Pete” and Ethel Yauger Turner.
He was a member of Hopwood United Methodist Church and was a man of strong faith.
Mark was preceded in death by his father; his brother, Bobby; sister, Gina; his grandparents, Charles and Ethel Yauger; his adopted grandparents, Ralph and Jean Smalley; and his stepfather, John Custer.
He is survived by his loving children, Randy and MarkiAnn; their mother, Tammy; his two precious granddaughters, Randi Marie and Margot Mae Turner; his loving and devoted mother, Ethel Custer; his two beloved fur babies, Peanut and Pistachio, who were his constant companions; and his loving and special niece, Bobbi Jean Turner.
Mark was a man of many talents, blessed by God with a willingness to help others whenever he was able. He enjoyed spending time in the beautiful mountains, especially hunting and fishing with his son. He also looked forward to planting and tending his garden each summer, taking great pride in caring for it.
From childhood, Mark courageously lived with Type 1 diabetes. Each day, he faced this challenge, along with other health issues, with remarkable courage, strength, boldness and the determination that diabetes would never win.
Mark will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
Friends will be received in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, Hopwood, Wednesday, October 7, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Additional visitation will be held Thursday, October 8, from 10 until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Mike Lyons officiating. Interment will be private.
