Theodore William Thorpe Sr., 71, of Uniontown, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026, in his home.
He was born on January 11, 1955, in Uniontown, PA, a son of the late Rolly and Alice Brady Thorpe.
In addition to his parents, Theodore was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Thorpe; three brothers; and two sisters.
Theodore is survived by his children, Theodore Thorpe Jr. of Uniontown, Tad Thomas Thorpe (Jamie) of Uniontown, Albert David Thorpe of Farmington, and Ginger “Jim” Thorpe of Allison; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Theodore was a hardworking man who devoted many years of service to the City of Uniontown, where he was employed as a maintenance groundskeeper until his retirement. He enjoyed collecting and working on tractors and restoring old cars, hobbies that reflected his love of machinery and working with his hands. He will be sadly missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held in the DONALD R. CRAWFORD FUNERAL HOME, HOPWOOD on Wednesday October 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. Additional visitation will be held on Thursday October 15 from 10 a.m. until the hour of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Herring officiating. Interment will follow in New Mount Auburn Cemetery.
