Sandra L. “Sandy” McCoy, 84, a lifelong resident of Brownsville, passed away Friday, October 16, 2026.
She was born May 22, 1942 in Brownsville, the daughter of the late Jesse McCoy, Sr. and Stella Mae Wright McCoy.
Sandy graduated from Brashear High School Class of 1960. She was employed as a medical billing clerk at Brownsville General Hospital, retiring in 2004.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jesse McCoy, Jr. and Donald E. McCoy, Sr.; a sister-in-law, Rose McCoy; three nephews, Donald E. McCoy, Jr., Greg Neff, Sr., and Donny Stoffer; and a great- nephew, Greg Neff, Jr.
Sandy is survived by her sister, Marilyn R. McCoy, with whom she resided; nieces, Debbie (Ron) Neff, Denise (Jeff) McCoy-Gaurrich; great- nieces and great- nephews, Jessica (Mike) Allen, Jesse (Jamie) McCoy, Tiffany Mozer, Shaun McCoy, Ryan McCoy. She is also survived by nine great- great-nieces and great- great-nephews, many cousins, friends, and extended family.
Friends will be received in the SKIRPAN FUNERAL HOME, 135 Park Street, Brownsville, Thursday, October 22, from 4 to 7 p.m., and Friday, October 23, from 10 until the time of a funeral service at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Frank Philpott officiating.
Interment will follow in Redstone Cemetery.
