Lewis Donald Ewart, 79, of Uniontown, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born December 12, 1946, in Uniontown, son of Lewis and Dora Fitzpatrick Ewart.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Chick Ewart; and siblings: Robert Ewart, Barry Ewart and Nancy Springer.
Donald graduated from Uniontown High School in 1965 and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He was employed for many years at Agway in Uniontown. After retirement he worked at Benners Camp Ground in Farmington. Donald enjoyed hunting, fishing and planting a garden each year.
Left to cherish Donald’s memory are his children: Michael Ewart and wife, Teresa of Mifflinburg, Kelly and husband, Jospeh Jacobson of Flatwoods, Kevin Ewart and wife, Christine of McClellandtown and Brian Ewart, who resides at home and was his loving caretaker. Also surviving are eight grandchildren: Michael, Jessica, Matt, Ashlyn, Josh, Marc, Emily and Ashley; five great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lila Ewart and Shirley Kolesar, both of Uniontown.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown Street, Uniontown, where family and friends will be received on Thursday, October 22, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, October 23, from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a service celebrating Donald’s life at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Mount Moriah Baptist Cemetery.
