Ronald W. Rankin
Point Marion
Ronald W. Rankin, 72, of Point Marion, formerly of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2026, in the Terrace Nursing Home, Uniontown, after a brief illness. Born in Uniontown April 17, 1954, he was a son of the late John Wesley and Ruth D. Wilson Rankin.
Ron was a retired security guard at local mines, an avid hunter, and enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
His beloved wife, Mary Ann Presock Rankin, passed away June 28, 2021. Also deceased are several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are his daughter, Tracy Russell of Point Marion; two grandchildren, Mariah Russell and David Russell; two great- granddaughters, who were the light of his life, Mila and Zoey Franks; a brother, John Rankin and wife Susan of Searights, their daughter, Noel and granddaughter, Jazzy; and several other nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Saturday, October 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. Private interment will be in the Monongahela Hill Cemetery, Greensboro, at a later date.
