Jennifer VEE Dick Jones, born May 8, 1945, in Warrington, Lancashire, England, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 24, 2026, in Hemet, California.
She was a daughter of the late John C. Dick, Masontown, and Gertrude Lister Dick “WWII War Bride”.
Jennifer was born on V-E Day, the day World War II ended in Europe. Her middle name signified “Victory En Europe”. It was a distinction that was part of the story of her life from the very beginnings. She lived her childhood in Masontown, and her adult life in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Later in life, she lived in Rancho Cucamonga and Hemet, California.
Jennifer was married to Larry N. Jones for 30 years. Larry preceded her in death in 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Young of California; her sister, Valerie C. Patrick of Fairfax Station, Va.; and other family members and loved ones.
Jennifer’s life spanned continents and generations, from her birth in England on an historic day, to her many years of federal service and her retirement in California. She will be remembered by all those who knew and loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held for her at the Hemet Valley Mortuary in Hemet, CA on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
