Beverly Ann Ucman, 82, of Dawson, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on March 16, 1944, daughter of the late George Tomasi and Erma Farkas Tomasi, Beverly was the eldest of four daughters. From an early age, she learned the importance of caring for others, a gift that would define her life. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother and great-grandmother, caring sister, and the heart of her family.
Beverly married the love of her life, Frank G. Ucman, Sr., at the age of 18. Their marriage of 64 years was a remarkable testament to love, devotion, and partnership. Having met as young teenagers, they built a beautiful life together centered on faith, family, and home. Together they raised four children and created a legacy of love that will continue for generations.
A devout Catholic, a member of St. John the Baptist R. C. Church, Beverly lived her faith every day. She loved God deeply and found strength and comfort in her faith throughout her life. She faithfully passed those values on to her children and grandchildren and firmly believed in the promise of eternal life and reunion with loved ones in Heaven.
Family was Beverly’s greatest joy and highest priority. She created a warm and welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and countless home-cooked meals. An exceptional cook, she was known for her legendary halupkis and many other dishes loved by all. She never arrived anywhere empty-handed and was often the first to bring a meal, offer help, or lend comfort to someone in need.
Beverly found happiness in life’s simple blessings. She loved the quiet country life and spending time outdoors, surrounded by the beautiful trees and flowers on her property and watching the deer, birds, and occasional black bear that visited her home. She treasured family gatherings, holidays, handwritten cards, birthdays, anniversaries, and the traditions that brought loved ones together. She never forgot a special occasion and always made others feel loved and remembered.
Known for her radiant smile, generous heart, and selfless nature, Beverly spent her life caring for others. Even in her later years, she continued to put her family first. Her kindness and devotion touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
In her later years, Beverly faced increasing challenges with grace and strength, surrounded by the unwavering love and support of her family. Through it all, the love she shared with those closest to her remained a constant, and her presence continued to bring comfort and joy to those who knew her best.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 64 years, Frank G. Ucman, Sr.; her children, Frank “Bud” Ucman, Jr. and wife Gina, Timothy Ucman and wife Shannon, Michael Ucman and wife Lorie, and Carrie (Ucman) Linch and husband Jonathan; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Donna Ferris, Kathy Popovec, and Debra Reho, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Tomasi; her mother, Erma Sheppard; and her stepfather, John Sheppard.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Chrissy “Suzie” Rehe, whose loving care, friendship, and devotion brought Beverly immeasurable comfort and joy during her final year.
Most of all, Beverly will be remembered for the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the faith she shared, the traditions she created, the meals she prepared, the values she instilled, and the family she cherished above all else.
Beverly’s family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at the BLAIR LOWTHER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 305 Rear Independence Street, Perryopolis, Pa where Prayers of Transfer will be prayed at 10 a.m. on Wednesday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. John the Baptist R. C. Church in Perryopolis, Pennsylvania. Interment will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery, Rostraver Twp., Pa.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her, and embraced by the eternal love of God.
