Jeannette P. Angelo Purcell, 85, of Perryopolis, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

Born November 17, 1940 in Perryopolis, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Josephine Fabriziani Angelo. Born and raised in Perryopolis, Jeannette was a resident of Charleroi for 30 years, returning to Perryopolis in her most recent years.

She was a member of St. John The Baptist Roman Catholic Church.

Mrs. Purcell retired from Corning Glass in Charleroi, where she worked as a decorator, union secretary, oven cleaner, as well as a line operator for 30 years. Recently she was celebrated as a Corning retiree of 50 years.

Jeannette proudly served in the U.S. Navy, as a Yeoman, as a Navy WAVE.

Jeannette was a member of the Belle Vernon Belles, the Sons & Daughters of Italy in Perryopolis, and the Corning Retirees.

She cherished playing cards and games with her group of lady friends each month, enjoyed reading, and valued her monthly lunches with siblings.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Roberto and Tamara Angelo of Virginia Beach, Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Richard Molnar of Perryopolis; and daughter- in-law, Shirley Purcell; siblings, Celeste Pilarcik, Jacqueline Statzula and husband Chich, Richard Angelo and wife Darlene, Mary Matsko and husband John; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren with another on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her two stepsons, Stephen and William Purcell; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Wayne Keebler; and brother-in-law, William Pilarcik.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 18, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 191 Liberty Street, Perryopolis, 724-736-2515, where Prayers of Transfer will be held Saturday, September 19, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. John The Baptist RC Church. Interment will take place in St. John The Baptist RC Cemetery.
