Judith Darlene “Judy” Thomas, 82, of Point Marion, passed on to her heavenly home Sunday, September 20, 2026, in the Sundale Nursing Home, Morgantown, W.Va., where she had resided for the past several years. Born in Uniontown March 25, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Agnes Pratt Thomas and James Franklin Thomas, Sr.
A 1964 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School, Judy was a lifelong, faithful member of the New Geneva Baptist Church and active in the church’s women’s circle.
She had previously worked at West Virginia University, Goodwill, and was a self-employed skilled seamstress for many years.
Surviving are her brother, James F. Thomas, Jr. (wife Peggy) of Lake Lynn; and sister, Nancy Fordyce (husband Blaine, Sr.) of Smithfield; nephews, Blaine, Jr., James “Chad” and Dustin M.; nieces, Shauna, Kelly and Melanie; great-nephews, Andrew, Jeremy and Layne; great-nieces, Megan, Amanda, Hannah and Kara; and seven great- great-nieces and great- great-nephews.
She was predeceased by an infant great-niece, Kaitlin. She loved them all dearly and thought of them as her very own.
Friends will be received in the New Geneva Baptist Church Saturday, September 26, from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. hour of service, with the Rev. Charles Bowser officiating.
Interment follows in the Maple Summit Cemetery, Ohiopyle.
