We must stop illegal immigration

By Dante Mancini 3 min read

I keep hearing all the complaints pertaining to the illegal immigrants coming across the border into the U.S. I hear the potential presidents at the debates and what they are going to do, if elected, as the next president. I have yet to hear about the enforcement of the laws, that I’m sure we have in place, to prevent this from happening.

It would be so simple to eliminate illegal entry into the U.S., if we enforced a few laws which I will mention. You have to eliminate the perks that we have in this country that makes everyone want to come here. If you are in this country illegally, you will not be able to work in this country. If any employer hires an undocumented worker, they will be prosecuted severely by the law.

In addition, if you are not documented, you will not be eligible for any welfare or healthcare. If you go to a hospital or emergency room and you are undocumented, they must notify the authorities.

You will not be able to receive a driver’s license or a social security card and all driver license examinations will be printed in English only.

If you are a police officer and you stop someone for a traffic violation that doesn’t have a driver’s license and is undocumented, you must apprehend them immediately and report them to immigration.

If you work in an office and are approached by an undocumented person applying for any program, you must notify the authorities immediately.

If you are undocumented, you will be apprehended and arrested for illegal entry into the United States, arrested and deported. If you are a legal resident of the U.S. and a relative would approach you for protection and housing, you must notify the authorities so arrangements can be made to legalize your relative.

If you’re an employer and approached by an undocumented person, you must notify the authorities immediately.

These are just a few things that we must do to eliminate illegal migration to our country.

It’s not that difficult to recognize what we have here in our country that makes everyone want to come here. We have to eliminate these perks that are available to anyone that walks in the door. If we do that and enforce it to the fullest, you can tear down the wall because no one is going to come here if they are going to be arrested, unable to find work, or get healthcare or welfare and starve. Would you?

In addition, people in the bordering states that can drive to and from Mexico legally are being approached by individuals to provide transportation for illegals across the border to make money. They offer so much per person and believe me, that is happening.

I don’t know why we aren’t doing things now to prevent this influx when we have the capabilities to do so. Maybe someone can enlighten me on that subject!
